Bill Withers出生于1938年7月4日
是家中六个孩子中最小的
在海军服役了9年之后
1967年Bill Withers来到洛杉矶
开始追求音乐事业

Sussex Records公司发行了Bill的第一张专辑《 Just As I Am 》
这张专辑中就收录了“Ain't No Sunshine”这首71年[第14]届格莱美最佳R&B歌曲
正是这张专辑和这首歌令得Bill Withers一举成名

“Ain't No Sunshine”被很多人翻唱过
包括Jackson 5、Sting、Temptations等
最多人听过这首歌应该在是1999年《Notting Hill》的原声大碟中

By the way, 在CSI Season1 EP8里也出现过这首歌
